- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

- Freshly grated nutmeg, to taste

- 1 loaf of crusty bread, cut into cubes

Instructions:

Prepare the Fondue Pot:

  - Rub the inside of a fondue pot with the cut sides of the garlic cloves.

Heat the Wine:

  - Pour the white wine and lemon juice into the fondue pot. Heat over medium heat until the wine is hot but not boiling.

Melt the Cheese:

  - Gradually add the shredded Gruyère and Emmental cheese to the pot, stirring constantly in a figure-eight motion. Allow the cheese to melt completely and blend into a smooth mixture.
